Highlights:

Managed the full project lifecycle of fabrication, logistics, and documentation

Developed a three-variant manual suite and complete component labeling system

UK client completed a live trade show build with zero support needed
Context:
As Willo Furniture grew in popularity, their existing production process needed to scale. I was brought in to reorganize and optimize how the structures were fabricated, assembled, and shipped. I also created a documentation system that would allow clients to build independently, without direct support. Both improvements were instrumental in enabling the company to grow

Role:
As sole production manager, I owned everything from raw materials to final documentation. On the production side, that meant fabricating components, optimizing the assembly sequence for shipping efficiency, and managing logistics. On the documentation side, I developed the labeling system, wrote the assembly manuals, and designed the layouts, producing three variants to cover all structural configurations.
Constraints:
Scaling a production system and building a documentation system at the same time meant every decision had downstream consequences. Components had to be fabricated consistently enough that the instructions would always be accurate. The labeling system had to be intuitive enough to work across language barriers. The manuals had to anticipate every point of confusion before it happened, because at a live trade show, there's no time to troubleshoot!

Process:
I approached production and documentation as a single system. On the production side, I reorganized the fabrication sequence, standardized components, and optimized packing for international shipping. I personally fulfilled, built, and shipped every order that came in. That hands-on ownership fed directly into the documentation: once I understood exactly how the structures went together at every stage, I developed the labeling system, sequenced the steps, and designed three manual variants that felt like a unified suite.

Results:
Willo left the engagement with a scalable production pipeline and a documentation system that worked without explanation. The strongest validation came from an international install: a client in England completed a full trade show assembly with zero support needed — a result that only works if every upstream decision, from component consistency to labeling logic, was made correctly.
